Data collected

None. Silens does not gather, transmit, store on a server or sell any information about you. We do not know who you are, nor what you watch.

Data stored locally

Silens keeps two values in your browser's local storage, through the storage permission:

• the enabled or paused state you chose;
• a counter of how many ads have been muted, shown in the popup.

These values stay on your device. They are never transmitted. Uninstalling the extension deletes them.

Permissions requested

• storage — remember the two values above.
• www.youtube.com — detect when ads start and end, and mute then restore the player's sound.
• silens.pages.dev — show the real state of the extension on the official site.

Silens requests no access to any other site you visit.

Third-party services

None. No analytics, no tracker, no ad network, no remote server.

Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a new update date.
